If you are searching for a very compact and cost-efficient 1U server-chassis, the IPC 1U-10240 might just be what you are looking for. Despite its very short length, it can accomodate mainboards up to standard-ATX form-factor (Attention: up to 305mm x 191mm mainboard size, as well as mini ITX and micro ATX. The body of the chassis has a a length of only 40cm - plus 3.5cm for the 19-inch brackets and handles on each side (which are retractable).
Both 5 1/4 inch bays on the front-side of the chassis can be equipped in a multitude of ways. Alternatively, they can each accomodate either one 5 1/4 inch drive, one 3,5" disk-drive or - by using the enclosed adapter - up to four 2.5" disk-drives / SSD's. Cooling of the system is provided by two 40mm fans in the center between the two 5 1/4 inch drive-bays. On the front-side of the chassis are the control-buttons, LED´s and two USB 2.0 connectors located. An optional riser-card can be used to integrate one full-height expansion-card into the chassis.
Either Flex-ATX or 1U power-supplies can be used in this chassis, although we recommend mainly Flex-ATX PSU due to the shorter length. The total length of the power-supply including cable-harness should not be more than 20cm.
