The IPC 2U-20240 is a very compact and affordable 2HE server chassis. It supports mini ITX mainboards and - with limitations - also micro ATX and standard ATX (up to 305mm x 191mm mainboard size). The chassis body is only 40cm long with additional 2.5cm for the removable front handles.
The four 5.25" bays on the front can be equipped variably. By default each two 5.25" bays on the left and right hold a module for up to three 3.5" hard drives. The modules can be removed and replaced with backplanes or optical 5.25" drives. Please be aware that beside the fans inside these modules there are no options for further active cooling. Thus only one of the bays should be removed respectively another active cooling should be considered. Between those two modules are three bays in the centre, one holding the front panel, that provide space for up to two 3.5" hard disks or up to three 2.5" hard drives / SSDs. The front panel holds two USB 2.0 ports beside the controls and LEDs. The chassis is outfitted with low-profile expansion slots.
Only 1U power supplies can be fitted while the length including the cable harness shouldn't exceed 20cm. We recommend equipping the 300W power supply Seasonic SS-300M1U. Alternatively Flex-ATX power supplies can be used with an adapter.
