The IPC 3U-30248 is a medium-length 3HE server chassis that is suited for various applications and whose quality of material and manufacturing is superior. The chassis is 48cm long, with additional 3.8cm for the front-mounted and removable handles. Similar chassis are available with 40cm and 55cm length.
The six 5.25" bays on the front can be equipped variably. By default the three 5.25" on the left and right hold a module for up to five 3.5" hard drives. The ones on the right are prepared for mounting up to ten 2.5" drives. The bays in the centre can be equipped with four 2.5" or 3.5" drives. The modules can be removed and replaced with backplanes or optical 5.25" drives.
The front panel holds two USB 2.0 ports beside the controls and LEDs.
The chassis is outfitted with five full-profile expansion slots and an additional one tilted by 90° that can be used with a riser card.
ATX power supplies are supported. There are one 120mm fan mounted on the front and two 60mm fans at the back, additional six 40mm fans can be mounted on the front.
