Our shortest and in every respect most compact fanless dual 1U IPC system with a depth of just 15.5cm is based on a brand new mSTX mainboard from Kontron, manufactured in Germany. Offered here in the dual version, where two of the systems can be installed next to each other in a 1U form-factor. The system operates completely fanless with passive cooling and therefore without the slightest noise. Thanks to the extremely precisely manufactured aluminium housing, no dust can get into the interior of the housing, which means that the possible range of applications also covers various industrial environments. Alternatively, we also offer the system as a stand-alone system - or in customised configurations as required.
This ultra-compact system is suitable for digital signage, IoT, POS, edge-computing or generally as a very energy-efficient and robust industrial mini-PC. It is based on a high-quality mainboard from the german manufacturer Kontron with an integrated intel N200 quad-core CPU and 8GB Kingston DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM RAM. The device offers Dual Gigabit LAN ports (with teaming support), dual display port outputs (V1.4a), a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port on the front and 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 ports on the rear. We can also optionally equip the system with a WIFI plug-in card and antennas to enable direct WLAN access. In the basic version, the device is supplied with an 8GB Kingston DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM module - an expansion up to 32GB is possible. An NVMe M.2 SSD (M.2. 2280/PCIe 3.0 x2) can also be integrated as an option, which is passively cooled directly by a heat sink integrated into the aluminium housing.
We currently offer the system as a 1U single 19-inch system, as a 1U dual 19-inch system (this version) and soon also for use in a 12-inch rack or for DIN-RAIL mounting. In this way, we cover almost all mounting options in the industrial environment.
We are very pleased to install mainboards from Kontron again in this current system series, which offer the highest quality through german development and production. The mainboards are manufactured in the Kontron plant in Bavaria, so that the supply-distances for this product can be kept extremely short. The production-facility in Bavaria was taken over by Kontron from Fujitsu in 2019 and is one of the last european production sites of this kind. As a specialist for industrial and embedded systems, Kontron impresses with high-quality components, optimisation for 24-hour operation and long-term availability of up to 5 years.
The internal structure of the system is completely modular. Almost all components can be removed individually and replaced if necessary. The exclusive use of components that comply with current industry standards also contributes to this aspect. All systems are designed by us and are always being assembled in our technical department in Berlin.
After system-assembly, the completed system receives an extensive and thorough system-test before being shipped. Included in the scope of supply are - apart from the server-system - the complete mainboard-accessories, the external power supply, a red power cable and a small part set.
