2.5 inch removable frame for the installation of a SAS/SATA SSD or hard-disk in a free PCI / PCIe expansion slot (full height). The robust removable frame is ideal for expanding very compact housings with an additional HDD/SSD - e.g. in mini ITX systems or 19-inch servers with 1U.
The power supply is via a mini 4pin power connector, the data runs via a 7-pin SATA port, which is connected to the SAS/SATA connector of the mainboard or controller. The drive can also be easily removed - even via hot-swap while the system is running (if supported by the controller).
