The 'Emu A9-C3338 PRO' is based on the microserver-optimized and extremely power-saving intel Atom "Denverton" C3338 dual-core processor. It offers integrated Quad Gigabit LAN, maximum memory up to 128GB (reg. ECC DDR4) and IPMI 2.0 support. Due to its extensive network capabilities, compact design and energy-efficient layout, the system is recommended for firewall appliances and VoIP telephone systems, among others.
The system is particularly suitable as a compact firewall appliance or VoIP telephone system due to the four integrated Gigabit LAN connections. The integrated PCI Express 3.0 x4 slot can also be used (with an optional riser card) to integrate a PCIe expansion card into the system. If a Quad-Port Gigabit network card (e.g. Argus LR-9704) is used, the system can be expanded to a total of eight Gigabit ports.
With a TDP of only 9W, the Intel Atom C3338 "Denverton" dual-core Celeron processor used here is one of the most economical and effective processors currently available on the market. The high-quality motherboard type "SuperMicro A2SDi-2C-HLN4F" offers four Gigabit LAN ports, up to eight internal SATA ports (6.0 Gb/sec.), remote management via IPMI 2.0 (with dedicated fifth LAN port), support for up to 128GB DDR4-1866 registered ECC DIMMs and an onboard graphics card with D-Sub VGA port. The cooling of the system is done by two (optional three) 40mm high-performance fans, which are clearly audible, so that we recommend the device rather for use in the server room. All components are designed for power-saving operation and the power supply has an extremely high degree of efficiency (80PLUS Gold), so that the system is very energy-saving and therefore economical. Alternatively, we also offer the device in a 1.5HE housing with dual HDD backplane and silent fans.
In the configurator below, you can equip the system with the appropriate memory and up to two 2.5 inch SSDs. Please note that the system does not provide an onboard RAID controller.
After system-assembly, the completed system receives an extensive and thorough system-test before being shipped. Included in the scope of supply are - apart from the server-system - the complete mainboard-accessories, a blue power-cord (please contact us if you need a special cord), a blue 2.0m Cat6 patch-cable and several short-length SATA-cables for hassle-free cabling of your devices. The system will be shipped without operating system.
