This very compact mini-server- / NAS- chassis by inter-tech is a good foundation for the assembly of a microserver or a dedicated NAS system. By request we configure this chassis already with a perfectly compatible high-quality 200W or 250W flex-ATX power-supply by Enhance.
With the SC-4100 inter-tech aims at the sparsely populated region of highly specialized and highly compact mini ITX server-chassis, where only few manufacturers can be found. The chassis is very well manufactured and provides space for the installation of up to four 3,5" harddisks in the backplane-module on the front-panel. The slide-in modules of the backplane can alternatively be equipped with 2,5" harddisks or SSD´s, as there are holes for this format, too.
Ventilation of the chassis is provided by a pre-installed 80mm fan on the rear. Optionally, a 40mm fan can be installed on the front-side of the chassis. Power-supplies with flex-ATX or 1U form-factor can be used to supply the system with power - the back-plate is compatible with both formats. Apart from the mini ITX mainboard, the chassis can accomodate one full-height expansion card. Two USB 3.0 ports on the front-plate and behind the lockable front-cover ensure good speeds when high speed USB devices are connected.
Please note that the mainboard you might want to install should not be higher than about 4cm - including all parts and ventilation components. Higher mainboards might have physical contact with the harddisk-module above.
